Three weeks after renaming the feature, Google published a full documentation set for multi-source conversions: a main help page plus diagnostics, FAQs, tag troubleshooting and supported data sources. The beta connects an existing website conversion action to a backend source such as a CRM or order database through Data Manager or the Data Manager API.
- Google lists five benefits: recovering conversions lost to browser restrictions and ad blockers, better bidding, simpler setup through Data Manager, real-time conversion value adjustment, and supplementing the tag with user-provided email or phone.
- Real-time value adjustment is the notable capability: a CRM can send restatements, upsells or finalized totals that override the value the Google tag recorded.
- An additional data source automatically enters an initial 14-day trial period so campaigns stay stable while the setup is verified.
- Still a beta with no stated general-availability date, no published regions and no published match rates.
- The feature was renamed from "conversions with multiple data sources" to multi-source conversions in August 2026.
