Google replaced its short, high-level Data Strength Best Practices page with a detailed implementation guide. The new version leans on first-party data and identifiers, correct Data Manager setup and AI-powered campaigns, and attaches performance figures to each recommendation.
Figures cited on the new page include a 14% uplift in observed conversions for advertisers upgrading to Google Tag Gateway, 8% incremental ROAS on Search for advertisers using enhanced conversions, and 27% more unique converting users on Search campaigns using Smart Bidding exploration. The page also adds a personalized Data Manager checklist, diagnostics for finding setup errors, and guidance on avoiding duplicate Analytics data connections. Google did not publish time periods or baselines for the figures.
