Google added its Veo 3 video model to Asset Studio in Google Ads so advertisers can generate video creative, joining the Nano Banana image tool. Google said nearly 70 million assets were generated with Gemini in AI Max and Performance Max in Q4 2025. Source

ChatGPT Ads
- Ads went live in ChatGPT for logged-in adult Free and Go users in the U.S.
OpenAI began showing clearly labeled sponsored placements below responses to U.S. adults on the Free and Go tiers. Ads were matched to the topic of the conversation, past chats and prior ad interactions; advertisers received only aggregate performance data. Source
- Ad Pilot Program opened via Omnicom, WPP and Dentsu with Adobe among first advertisers; $200K minimum
The U.S. pilot was bought through holding-company partners: Omnicom Media secured placements for more than 30 clients, Adobe ran ads for Acrobat Studio and Firefly with WPP, and Dentsu also participated. Trade reports put the minimum commitment at $200,000 with about a $60 CPM. Source

In an interview, OpenAI's CEO of Applications said ChatGPT's ad system would look more like Google's intent-based system than Facebook's, that the model would not know an ad is in a thread unless asked, and that it would give a neutral assessment of advertised products if asked.
