Demand Gen Display ads moved to a rendered-impression standard for view-through conversions

Google is changing how a view is counted for view-through conversion attribution on Display ads inside Demand Gen campaigns, moving from the Active View standard to a rendered ad impression. Under the new definition a single on-screen pixel counts regardless of how long it was visible, so reported view-through conversion volumes can rise without any change in performance.

The change applies only to Display ads within Demand Gen and rolls out automatically over the coming weeks; advertisers do not need to change campaign settings. Treat view-through conversion comparisons that span the switch with care.
