Google updated its Gambling and games policy to let licensed operators advertise sports betting, online casino games and lotteries in Slovenia from October 1, 2026. Advertisers need a valid concession from the Government of the Republic of Slovenia and registration with the Slovenian Ministry of Finance, plus Google gambling certification.
- Permitted products: lotteries, sports betting and online casino games.
- Two eligibility conditions: a valid Slovenian government concession and registration with the Slovenian Ministry of Finance.
- Advertisers must still apply for Google's gambling certification before campaigns can run.
- Slovenia moves in the opposite direction to Croatia, where Google is revoking gambling certifications from October 7, 2026.
