Page indexing report lost its June 2026 data permanently; Google will not backfill it

A block of June 2026 data disappeared from the Search Console page indexing report across properties. John Mueller said the gap comes from the June reporting delay, that there simply is no data for that period, and that Google does not back-fill indexing data.

  • The missing days show as a gap on the left of the page indexing report graphs and affect all properties, not individual sites.
  • Mueller traced the gap to the period in June 2026 when the page indexing report was delayed and never updated: 'there just isn't any data for that period... We don't back-fill indexing data.'
  • The loss is a reporting artifact only; it does not reflect a change in how pages were crawled or indexed.
  • Mueller said he would confirm with the team once colleagues were back from holidays.
