Google Analytics added Dashboards, a single-page report that collects key metrics onto a grid-based canvas. Editors and administrators drag dimensions and metrics onto the canvas to build cards and publish the dashboard straight into the Reports navigation.
- Six visualisation types are available at launch: scorecards, tables, line charts, bar charts, donut charts and funnel charts.
- Cards are positioned, resized and aligned manually on a grid canvas; charts are built by dragging dimensions and metrics on directly rather than creating separate reports first.
- Standard properties allow up to 15 cards per dashboard; Analytics 360 properties allow up to 30.
- Editor or Administrator access is needed to create and publish. Published dashboards are shared with everyone who has access to the property; there are no private dashboards.
- API access, segments and card-level comparisons are not supported at launch.
- Google documented the launch in the Help Center 'What's new in Analytics' entry rather than in a blog post, and did not publish a rollout schedule.
