Advertisers had to declare whether each campaign is political before creation or import; undeclared campaigns were treated as non-political and political campaigns were skipped on import. The API added an IsPolitical campaign element (v13.0.25.3).
Political ads remain prohibited on Microsoft Advertising; the declaration supports EU transparency obligations effective October 10, 2025.
