Certification applications began moving into Google Ads accounts, starting with online gambling

Google said that from October 2026 it will gradually let some advertisers apply for certifications directly in their Google Ads account, under a new Policy section inside Admin. Online gambling is the only certification listed at launch. Applying through the Help Centre still works.

The rollout reaches all advertisers over time, so not every account will see it at once. Google said existing certifications an advertiser already holds and any pending applications are unaffected, and published a separate guide on how to apply for certifications in a Google Ads account.
