Bug left Merchant Center product videos stuck in preview processing, and Google told merchants to wait

Merchants reported that video uploads in Merchant Center were stalling in preview processing, leaving listings static in Google Search and other surfaces. Reports said it hit all videos, including YouTube-hosted and third-party ones. Google confirmed a technical issue and said its engineering team was working on a backend fix.

Merchants were advised not to change the video_link attribute while the issue is open, because an edit can restart the review timeline and make the delay worse.
