Editorial policy began allowing a business name that differs from the destination domain in limited cases
- Date

Google updated its business name requirements so an advertiser can use a name that does not match the destination domain when the name reflects their recognised brand, there is a verified direct relationship with the domain owner, and their products or services are offered on that domain. Third-party resellers, independent booking intermediaries, affiliate distributors and secondary sellers still cannot use the standalone brand name of what they sell.
