Google announced that every retailer would be moved to Merchant Center Next by September 2024, bringing a new analytics tab with pricing, competitive visibility and retail search trends, Product Studio, simplified setup and a unified online and local product list.
Search Engine Land reported the expansion on July 17, 2024; Google's August 2024 change log entry 'Merchant Center Next: Upgrading all retailers by September' restated the deadline.
