Google split the Malicious or unwanted software policy into Malicious software, Compromised sites and Unwanted software policies under Abusing the ad network, with enforcement ramping up over about four weeks from December 2023.

Google's Merchant Center announcements change log dates this entry to 2023-11 without a specific day; the first of the month is used here.
