Google's 2023 specification update required shipping cost in more EEA countries plus Brazil, India and New Zealand, introduced the certification [certification] attribute for EU energy labels, made availability required (quantity optional) for local inventory, and required clear differentiation of multiple prices on landing pages.
- Effective June 15, 2023: expanded shipping cost requirement, certification attribute, availability replaces quantity for local inventory, multiple-price guidance
- July 18, 2023: Google automatically extends expiration dates for items still valid on landing pages
- September 1, 2023: enforcement against marking in-stock items out of stock (use the pause attribute instead)
