Product Listing Ads pulled product image, price and merchant name from a Google Merchant Center account and showed them on shopping-related queries on Google.com, with no keywords or ad text required. Advertisers were charged per action, paying only when a click led to a purchase.
At launch it was a beta limited to a small number of US retail advertisers, with US users beginning to see the format more often from this date.
