Google announced an optional Quality Score column that displayed each keyword's minimum bid alongside a Great, OK or Poor quality label, enabled through Customize Columns. A week later it began rolling out an updated Quality Score algorithm intended to make it easier for high-quality ads to enter the auction and to set better minimum bids for keywords with little data.
The column was released in the week of February 14, 2007 and the algorithm update started on February 21, taking three to four days to apply. The timeline dates the column February 16.
